Responsibilities

  • Oversee camps and conferences that utilize the residential halls and meeting space at university
  • Assist with leasing in an effort to ensure full lease-up and maintenance of high occupancy levels; this includes the mailing of renewal offers, logging of responses, and management of property availability
  • Assist with the management and direction of the on-campus student housing community
  • Schedule of office/desk hours for managers and other professional staff in addition to external vendor partners weekly and weekend duties of assigned areas
  • Investigate and respond to concerns/complaints from residents in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and fostering good public relations; this includes reporting to the General Managers and Director
  • Assist in the preparation of the daily contact sheet and sales lead reporting
  • Market and ensure occupancy in residential halls for summer
  • Serve as the point of contact for all temporary housing inquiries; this includes scheduling appointments and leading tours
  • Reach and maintain occupancy of units at the maximum rate
  • Work with Building Managers to ensure building/unit readiness
  • Ensure all accommodations are met for guests, including but not limited to housing placement, linens, and building access
  • Manage group arrivals and departures to include welcome center and check-ins
  • Manage the camps and conferences email, and in-person communication with camps and conferences liaisons
  • Manage placements for all camps and conferences through required operating systems
  • Assist with ensuring an accurate record of availability that is compatible with the lease renewal report
  • Provide support with residence life program components, which may include professional staff training and recruitment, residence hall opening and closing, intersession housing, and summer programs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of advertising and marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace
  • Assist in the development and implementation of resident retention programs
  • Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors
  • Complete and review property marketing calendars
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly reports related to the property’s performance as required
  • Work with Business Manager on any billing issues regarding camp/conference participants
  • General administrative duties such as filing and typing
  • Answer telephones as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
  • Computer skills and math ability
  • Accurate typing and record keeping
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Entrata is preferred
  • Ability to follow through with all necessary paperwork and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while operating in a fast-paced environment
